On Saturday, August 25th over 15 children from the SAMMinistries partnered with local media personalities including Jacqueline Ortiz (WOAI-TV), Albert Flores (WOAI-TV), Kimberly Crawford (KABB-TV), Mike Hernandez (KABB-TV) and several photographers from WOAI-TV, for the “Pictures of Hope” program.
Throughout the morning, the members of the media mentored the children, ages 8 to 14, while using disposable cameras to take photos around San Antonio that captured their hopes and dreams.
This effort is brought forth by award winning photojournalist and author, Linda Solomon. She has selected the children of SAMMinistries to participate in her nationally acclaimed program, “Pictures of Hope”.
After the children’s photos from August 25th are printed, the photos will be transformed into holiday greeting cards and sold through SAMMinistries, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the organization. The unveiling of the greeting card will take place in November.
