On Friday, December 21, SAMMinistries held a candlelight vigil in Milam Park to remember the 66 deaths San Antonio homeless persons.
More than 50 people and four news stations attended the 6th annual candlelight memorial service. During the service, the names of each homeless person were read aloud, followed by the ringing of a bell in celebration of their life.


The number of homeless deaths in San Antonio decreased from 77 in 2011. In San Antonio the average age of a homeless adult is 48 years old and the average age of a homeless child is eight years old.
