Alzafar Shriners to partner with IHOP for National Pancake Day Mark your calendars for National Pancake Day on Tuesday, March 4, sponsored by the International House of Pancakes (IHOP)! San Antonians can batter up and join the Alzafar Shriners at any of the 27 San Antonio-area IHOP restaurants to raise awareness and money for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
IHOP guests will receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes on March 4 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In return, guests are asked to consider leaving a donation to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Shriners will be on hand at various IHOP locations with colorful fez hats. Also, be on the lookout for members of the world renowned Alzafar Nemnuf Shrine Clown Unit of San Antonio putting on a fun show.
Find the IHOP closest to you by using this handy map and typing in your address or ZIP code. For more information about National Pancake Day, visit http://www.ihoppancakeday.com or the Alzafar Shriners online at http://www.alzafar.org.
The San Antonio-based Alzafar Shrine Temple is one of many Shriner facilities around the world.  Some 350,000 Shriners gather at Shrine Centers worldwide. There are 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children, 18 orthopedic hospitals, three burn hospitals, and one hospital that provides orthopedic, burn and spinal cord injury care. These hospitals have cured or substantially helped more than 750,000 children — at no cost to parent or child — since the first Shriners Hospital opened in 1922.
