San Antonio – Shoppers can sleep in after the Thanksgiving holiday and still find great deals at local Goodwill stores plus a chance to win a $1,000 gift card this Black Friday Weekend.

Goodwill San Antonio will offer discounts on both new and gently used clothing during regular store hours at 19 retail stores that cover San Antonio, Kerrville, Laredo, New Braunfels, Seguin and surrounding areas.
 

  • Friday, Nov. 27– 25 percent off clothing
  • Saturday, Nov. 28 – 10 percent off clothing
  • Sunday, Nov. 29– 10 percent off clothing

 
“You can sleep in on Black Friday then head to Goodwill to find great deals and enter for a chance to win a $1,000 VISA gift card to help with all your holiday expenses,” said Penny Benavidez, director of marketing for Goodwill San Antonio.
 
Color-of-the-Week and other promotions are excluded with these discounts. Anyone who purchases items and/or donates to Goodwill San Antonio over the Black Friday Weekend can also receive information to register for the $1,000 VISA gift card courtesy of Helen Thompson Media as part of the Holiday Grand Spree promotion. Registration ends on Dec.18.
 
“Goodwill is your Holiday Headquarters with a variety of both new and gently used unique treasures in every store,” added Benavidez. “We have a variety of merchandise to include clothing, gift ideas and holiday décor items.”
 
The holidays are also an ideal time to clean out closets and garages in order to make room for holiday gifts. Donating items to Goodwill San Antonio helps fund educational programs and career services for local residents while providing donors with a potential year-end tax deduction.
