San Antonio — Local nonprofit Community First Health Plans (CFHP) recently celebrated 20 years as San Antonio’s only local nonprofit managed care organization with a special reception and dinner celebration at the Jack Guenther Pavilion at the Briscoe.
Guest speakers included Community First President and CEO Greg Gieseman; Emcee Micki Gamez of iHeart Media; University Health System President and CEO George Hernandez; Charles Kight, founding Community First president and CEO; Community First Board Chair Rene Escobedo; and representatives from the office of State Senator Jose Melendez.
“Community First Health Plans pledges to remain committed to its role to ensure that those who are unprivileged and underserved will gain access to quality health care so that they too can live long, healthy, productive lives and that their families can have those same expectations and outcomes as well,” Gieseman said during the Oct. 29 event. “Thank you all for your support and please enjoy the rest of the evening.”
