A decade ago, writer Elizabeth Gilbert captured the imaginations of readers across the globe with her transformative story of empowerment, “Eat Pray Love”. 10 years and a Julia Roberts movie later, Gilbert celebrated the diamond anniversary of her book by inviting readers to share their tales of how “Eat Pray Love” led them to make big changes in their own lives, selecting her favorites for an anthology called “Eat Pray Love Made Me Do It: Life Journeys Inspired By The Bestselling Memoir” – including an essay by esd and associates’ Communications Manager Rebecca Asher!
Rebecca’s essay was chosen out of more than 2,000 submissions for inclusion in the anthology. Her essay, titled ‘Take a Breath’, is about how life takes us in many directions, but eventually leads us exactly to the place we’re supposed to be. “It was amazing to learn my essay was one out of thousands that was chosen, ” said Asher. “Not only did this affirm confidence in my craft of writing, but it solidified my belief in knowing my story resonates with others.”
“Eat Pray Love Made Me Do It: Journeys Inspired By The Bestselling Memoir” will be available in bookstores March 29th. If you’d like Rebecca to write for you, you can email her at Rebecca@esdandassociates.com.
