Christine Kleha

Christine Kleha is CEO, Chief Communications Strategist, and primary partner of esd and associates. Christine has been there from the beginning, playing a critical role in the agency’s development from the ground up. She is a firm advocate of integrated marketing and creating cost effective, results driven strategies for B2B, government, healthcare and non-profit organizations.

Christine’s current leadership responsibilities fall primarily under national level campaign management. She signed onto esd and associates with an extensive sociology/psychology background. Prior to working with esd, she developed grants and funding initiatives for non-profit organizations and served within the Texas State Child Protective Services Department.

Christine has earned multiple regional distinctions for her work to motivate teams to achieve results, regularly outstripping the assumed limitations of smaller budgets. A true “umbrella thinker,” Christine believes that, “Understanding that over 65 percent of individuals in the United States are sensory based is the key to effectively moving a target audience into action.”

Christine has led the agency to win accolades for the Top 10 Largest Agency in PR, Tech, & Advertising (2005-2012), the Largest Recognized Woman-Owned Business (2010-2011) – San Antonio Business Journal and the Silver 2012 Healthy Work Place Recognition Award. With Christine as primary partner, esd and associates also qualifies as a HUB Woman-Owned Business.

A respected member of both the regional Texas communications industry and the local San Antonio community, Christine currently serves on both the PRSA and IABC Board of Directors and has previously held seats on the Judson Montessori Committee, Enterprise Foundation Committee and Kinetic Kids Council.

Like all esd professionals, Christine’s work plays a crucial role in honestly and ethically serving the interests of the public and the wellbeing of the greater community, while providing high-quality services to our clients. She actively serves some of the firm’s largest and most valued clients and is committed to delivering the insights clients need to address their most critical and complex business challenges.

Outside esd, Christine balances career and family life with her husband and two children. She is an avid reader, devouring books, briefs and articles at the speed of light.
