A beautiful spring day and 100 miles of scenic roads beckon to many avid cyclists. Add a great party at the historic Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, home of Shiner Bock and its family of excellent traditional beers, and thousands will follow the call to ride. The Great Houston/Austin to Shiner Pedal (GHASP) starts in the early morning hours of May 1. Riders travel along designated routes, with sag and rest stop support, arriving in Shiner within five to seven hours. Participants pay a registration fee, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. The original ride, from Austin to Shiner, is one of the oldest cycling events in Texas, dating back more than 30 years.

GHASP Jerseyproud to do our part

esd has been involved with GHASP for several years, redeveloping identity, participating in promotion and creating designs, including a new souvenir jersey (available in Shiner after the ride). We’ll probably have a rider or two in the run, as well. GHASP has an active Facebook and Twitter presence, posting pre-ride parties and other related events. esd develops websites and other branding projects for Gambrinus Brewing Company.
