In order to give students a positive incentive to attend classes and lower absenteeism, Community First Health Plans gave any high school student who came to school on time “reward packages” that consisted of chocolate candies or cookies this past Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Lanier High School. Absent students is an issue that costs the school an average of $37 per student. Volunteers and Teachers cheered on incoming students and their parents, who also received these reward packages, along with a thank you note.
