CFP2Community First Health Plan’s CEO Greg Gieseman, Congressman Lloyd Doggett and other elected officials gathered at the Affordable Care Act Enrollment and Resource Fair on Saturday, March 15 to help raise ACA coverage awareness.

Members of the community were invited to take advantage of the enrollment resources that were provided, including a guided path to ACA healthcare decision-making. Elected officials encouraged attendants to enroll by explaining the benefits of having healthcare coverage.

“Affordable Care Act provides opportunity to expand our mission,” said Greg Giesman CEO of Community First Health Plans, which is to “create access to healthcare coverage for those individuals who don’t have it.”

Bilingual enrollment experts, including Community First Health Plans representatives, were available to answer questions and help with the ACA sign-up process.

Not having coverage puts you at risk if a situation were to arise. It is important that you “develop a relationship with a physician,” added CEO Greg Gieseman.

The event was a huge success with over 200 community members in attendance ready to learn about healthcare marketplace plans and get enrolled for coverage.
