San Antonio – Friedrich Air Conditioning, a leading technology innovator of the global HVAC industry, was featured in the June issue of Hotel Management magazine for its new EMRT1 and EMWRT1 energy management thermostats.
A leading B2B publication of the hotel industry, Hotel Management quoted Barry Bookout, Friedrich’s national manager for lodging and specialty products.

The thermostats are universally compatible for use with PTAC air conditioners commonly used in hotel rooms and other lodging applications.
Engineered by San Antonio-based Friedrich with years of experience in energy savings for thousands of hotel rooms, the thermostats include fully configurable modes that maximize energy savings without compromising guest comfort.
By detecting room occupancy, the thermostats save energy, automatically adjusting temperature when someone is not in a hotel room to eliminate unnecessary heating and cooling.
The systems are all pre-configured with five distinct energy presets that maintain guest comfort.
Another revolutionary feature includes optional connectivity via FriedrichLink wireless and a remote management website that allows hotel guests to monitor and configure the Friedrich EMWRT1 thermostats on the web.
FriedrichLink technology has also made Friedrich a pioneer in remote management of its Kühl room air conditioners for the residential and commercial sectors. The Kühl is eligible for demand response programs through major utilities CPS Energy and Con Edison.
