San Antonio—Nonprofit Community First Health Plans spokeswoman Catherine Zambrano-Chavez was featured on KSAT 12 on June 25 as the local television station covered the news that the U.S. Supreme Court had upheld the use of subsidies for individuals insured under the federal Health Insurance Marketplace.
“Community First Health Plans is truly excited over the Supreme Court ruling upholding the Affordable Care Act subsidies,” the health plan said in a prepared statement. “We are most happy for our many members who will continue to benefit from healthcare coverage. We also see this as a plus for our local economy. The healthier a workforce is, the more productive it is. It is an exciting day for healthcare in the United States.”
KSAT also featured a story about a Community First member who was able to get thyroid surgery and subsidies to help cover prescription coverage for medications for her recovery. Watch the story here.
